BG Energy Solutions announces two new “world-class wins from world-class companies”

Leading technology and energy solutions business adds Rolls-Royce and Boeing to its client roster.
Sheffield-based BG Energy Solutions (BGES) has today announced that it has secured contracts to supply building automation and associated energy solutions, for two world-leading engineering innovators, Rolls-Royce and Boeing.

Rolls-Royce is carrying out regeneration works at its Raynesway site in Derby. The regeneration project follows the recent announcement that the Ministry of Defence has signed a contract with Rolls-Royce Power Engineering, to support the production of nuclear propulsion plants for the Royal Navy’s future submarine fleet.

BG Energy Solutions’ Managing Director Gareth Barber said, “We’re extremely proud to announce the latest in a sequence of major project and service solution wins for the company.

BGES has selected Trend Control Systems as the preferred BMS manufacturer for the Rolls-Royce projects.

Mr Barber continued, “We are especially proud to be involved in the Boeing project, based at the renowned Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Park, as it is the first factory in Europe for the aerospace manufacturer. Contracts have now been finalised, with work due to start imminently.

The Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) is home to a number of world-class companies and research organisations, developing innovative and disruptive technologies.

Mr Barber concluded, “We are experiencing phenomenal growth in our secured order-book, which is enabling us to recruit new field engineering staff. This is testament to the amazing team here at BGES, the underlying strength of industry, enterprise and British innovation, particularly in the Northern Powerhouse and Midlands Engine. We look forward to continued success and the opportunity to increase local employment and pride.”
