The Junior Estimators role at BGES is a sales post, and the duties will be:
To complete quotations that come in to enquires/sales, and issue back within the proposed time frame.
Eliviate the workload of the senior sales team members with quotations that come in, and to complete them to their standard.
Improve the profitability of the business, by proactively managing and continually quoting the clients tenders.
Conduct all activities in line with the company’s policies and procedures.
Deliver on the BGES strategy to achieve the business plan/goals for the operations department .
Be a team player in concepts and processes for accelerating operational development capabilities and creating competitive advantage, whilst underpinning the values of ‘quality/time/cost’.
Provide the required reporting and forecast information to the business in order for the business to make timely management decisions.
To provide quotations in a timely manor that match the standards of BGES and to be highly proactive and have a willingness to learn.
Providing effective communication within the Sales department, including role-modelling the desired organisational culture and values, both internally and externally.
Following up quotations with the respected clients and maintaining good communication throughout.
Customer focused with good communication and organisational skills with the ability to operate and communicate at all levels both internally and externally.
Essential Experience Requirements
Have knowledge of basic IT programmes, especially Excel.
Excellent telephone manor and customer service skills.
Abilitiy to meet deadlines, and to be a team player.
Occasional willingness to travel, and to see clients face-to-face.
Desirable Skills / Personal Qualities
Highly customer focused with good communication and organisational skills with the ability to operate and communicate at all level both internally and externally.
Team player who demonstrates flexibility to work across a range of tasks and technologies, with the enthusiasm to succeed in a rapidly changing fast paced environment.
Self-motivated with good problem solving skills.
Previous knowledge of a sales background.
Have a keen eye for studying specifications thoroughly.
The ability to understand panel drawings.
Previous knowledge of BMS/BeMS/Energy.
Within 1 hours drive from the Dinnington office.
This list is not exhaustive and may be asked to carry out additional duties appropriate to the nature and scope of the position. Normal working hours shall be 8.30 am to 5.00 pm; Monday to Friday, but additional hours may be necessary for the proper performance of the duties.
