Within BGES Group

Joining BGES as an apprentice offers you excellent well rounded opportunities and exposure to every stage of BEMS development, from hands on panel building, designing, graphic and software development, technical innovation, on-site electrical install, commissioning, plus BEMS plant servicing and maintenance.

We will support you every stage of your apprenticeship including, buddying you up with time served engineers who will provide ongoing mentoring and guidance until you are comfortable running your own projects

BGES BMS installers are qualified Electrical / Electronics Engineers and have proven experience working in the BMS industry as an electrician, installer and / or commissioner.

With comprehensive product knowledge including Trend Controls, Tridium / Niagara and Delta, a valid CSCS / ECS skills card and a keen eye for detail, quality standards and able to promote good health, safety practices.

Our BGES Commissioning Engineers are qualified electricians and crucial to the smooth operation of our customer services team. They work closely with our Project Engineers and Project Managers and within our clients’ estates resolving issues which effect the day-to-day operation of our clients HVAC/BEMS systems.

Duties include carrying out plant commissioning, panel testing, software writing and producing relevant documentation, reports and systems graphics.

All our Commissioning Engineers have passion and experiance in the BMS industry with a strong understanding of BMS, Control Panels, HVAC and meeting the clients needs.

The BGES Project Engineer is a pivotal position within our Project Division and builds the relationship between engineering, project management and customer satisfaction.

Our Project Engineers have a plethora of hands-on experience and the ability to work closely and proactively with colleagues, suppliers and customers. Contributing to the overall performance of the project including programme adherence, financial management and operational delivery.

The BGES Project Manager’s role is a mid-management post, and will provide the business with full financial, operational and commercial ownership of their live projects.

BGES Project Managers uphold Client engagement and management in delivering all project work, on-budget and on-time to internal and external customer satisfaction.

Our Project Managers improve the profitability of the business, by proactively managing and continually improving the costs on all project work, contributing to our product innovations and supporting the growth and development of our teams and introducing new business opportunities.

Our BGES BMS Service Engineer is a crucial to the smooth operation of our customer services and aftercare team.

With ownership of the pre-planned and reactive maintenance visits, working in our clients’ estates resolving issues which may effect the day-to-day operation of our clients HVAC/BEMS systems, attending call outs, small works and remedial works, producing comprehensive reports, quotations and relevant documentation, our BMS Service Engineers have a profound understanding of BMS, control panels and components.

Our young learners have the opportunity to undertake an electrotechnical apprenticeship which provides the skills and knowledge to become a qualified electrician. We provide the foundations for you to hone your experiance within the BMS industry with our bespoke facilities, offering you the chance to work in our panel production workshop, learning first hand how the control panel hardware and software come together before buddying up with a qualified installer to gain the skills only acquired from hands-on site exposure.

An alternative option is our BCIA BMS apprenticeship which is purely focused on the Building Energy Management Systems with a variety of potential career options following successful completion of the apprenticeship including, Commissioning or Service Engineering and Technical Controls Engineering.
