BGES Group has been shortlisted in 4 categories at the Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) awards; the sector’s biggest and most prestigious event. The awards take place in May 2022, bringing together manufacturers, installers and customers in a celebration of the best projects and technologies in the industry.
BGES Group has made the final cut in both the Building Controls/BEMS Installer of the Year category for our work at Keadby 2 power station, as well as Best Service and Maintenance provider for our work with Salford Royal Hospital. The latter involves crucial weekly maintenance and monitoring of a large 15,000-point building management system, as part of a 15-year service contract. This long-term contract was an industry first when it was set up, and provides the client with unrivalled continuity of care. We’re improving the efficiency of existing plant, and delivering on a long-term upgrade strategy, which is saving significant energy and maintenance costs.
Staff members have also been individually recognised for their achievements. BGES project manager David Hayden has been shortlisted for Engineer of the Year, and graduate electrical engineer Alex Lacey has been shortlisted for young engineer.
Recognition of excellence
Last year BGES Group won the BCIA’s Technical Innovation of the Year award for a complex decarbonisation project at the Oxfordshire Golf Hotel and Spa. The project integrated the controls of three legacy heating and cooling systems and a new closed loop water source heat pump system, which uses water from the golf course lake as the main heat source.
The BCIA Awards take place on 5th May 2022.
